Red Quinua Real has a slightly nuttier flavour and takes a bit longer to cook than white quinoa. It comes from the Bolivian salt marsh of Uyuni located at more than 3.600 meters of altitude and its nutritional importance has long been recognised by pre-Columbian civilizations. Often treated as a grain, quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) is in fact a seed which contains all the essential amino acids, oligo elements and vitamins. Gluten free, it is a good source of fibre and  rich in calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese.

How to use
Cook one part quinoa to two parts water in low heat for around 20 minutes. Red and black quinoa take slightly longer to cook than white quinoa. Also works well in a Chinese rice cooker in the same proportion or combined with rice.
